Gudmar Perursson Icelandic Horses

2011 Kentucky Show
September 21, 2011

It's that time of year again!  Time to bring Icelandic horse lovers together for the 2011 Kentucky Icelandic Horse show.  We would like to thank  Jim and Marianne Welch in advance for once again hosting the Kentucky show at their beautiful farm, Locust Hill in Prospect, Kentucky.
We hope to see everyone there-those with horses, those without horses, and those who just love being around these wonderful animals and their two-legged family members!
Please join us for good competition, good association, and good food on Saturday and Sunday, October 8th and 9th, 2011.
     See you there!

September 01, 2011

Hello everyone.  Hope you had a great summer.  It’s great to be home in the States after a very busy couple of months.  I spent some time working on the new farm in Iceland.  Things are coming along very nicely.
We had a great time with the America 2 Iceland tour this summer.  We had over 30 participants!  This was an especially exciting tour season since we had the pleasure of hosting Rick and Diana Lamb.  Rick hosts “The Horse Show with Rick Lamb”.  They had a wonderful time in Iceland enjoying the Icelandic horse.  Look for Rick’s program to be aired on RFD TV in November.

2011 Equine Affaire Recap
May 10, 2011

Now that the Equine Affaire, Columbus, Ohio is behind us, we wanted to let you know how it went.  As usual we had a great time in Columbus.  The weather actually cooperated this year!  Gudmar conducted three clinics over the four days of the show, plus Breed Demonstrations.  All the clinics were well attended with the favorite seeming to be "Understanding the Difference in Riding and Training Gaited vs. Non-Gaited Horses".
It was great seeing some old friends and making some new ones too.  A HUGE thanks goes out to Kathy, Terral, and Jana for their help and participation during the show.  We look forward to attending again next year – hopefully riding in Pfizer Fantasia!  Now on to the Equine Affaire in November.
